Chief Operating Officer
Chief Operating OfficerWe have an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished healthcare executive to assume the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at a major New England hospital. Serving on the senior leadership team, the COO will report directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer. The primary area of responsibility for this role is to strengthen the Hospital’s ongoing operational performance. The COO will provide oversight for hospital operations and set near- and far-term operational goals, developing sufficient resources where necessary. QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be a seasoned healthcare operations leader, capable of motivating and inspiring a management team, medical staff, and others to maintain an environment committed to standards of high quality, patient safety, and customer service. Knowledge of and experience with various improvement techniques, organizational change initiatives, and quality improvement methods are needed. Strong relationship-building skills are also required, along with the ability to gain trust, loyalty, and respect. In addition to a strong track record of providing successful leadership in the management of hospital operations (a minimum of 8-10 years), an advanced degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field is sought.
