Vice President Clinical Development

Our client, a highly regarded pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, seeks a well-qualified pharma/biotech expert to serve as Vice President Clinical Development (Vice President).  This person will oversee and manage the clinical plans of new products as they are approved, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President Clinical Research.

The Vice President is responsible for reviewing competitive products as well as published literature associated with particular pharmaceutical products and serves as the in-house expert for each new product opportunity.  He/she is accountable for all clinical activities leading to the successful execution of all protocols.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing and editing skills.  Five to seven years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries is required, as well as an MD degree.  Experience with Contract Research Organizations is also required.  A background focusing on the development of CNS or pain products is especially desirable.
