Director, Oncology Service Line
Director, Oncology Service Line Our client, a private, not-for-profit, acute care community hospital is seeking an Oncology Service Line Director to provide leadership in developing and constructing a multidisciplinary Cancer Center. Reporting to the Vice President for Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer, this key leadership position is responsible for the service line’s operational and financial performance and growth, including assessment, modeling, and implementation of possible tertiary relationships, implementation of clinical trial capacity, and establishment of multidisciplinary clinics; as well as patient satisfaction, quality and safety initiatives, physician satisfaction, and staff engagement.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate is an energetic, entrepreneurial, highly motivated, and results-oriented manager with a strong commitment to quality and service excellence. He/she will have strong leadership skills in new service growth, in-depth understanding of project and financial planning, a demonstrated track record of growing programs and service volume, as well as a proven ability to partner with physicians. The ideal candidate will possess an MHA, MBA, or MSN plus 8 to 10 years’ progressive experience with at least 3 years in service line management/leadership within a complex healthcare environment - preferably oncology. RN strongly preferred. The Organization: Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services in the northwest suburban Boston area. With 206 beds and bassinets, it provides acute care inpatient services in major clinical categories and subspecialties including medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, and a Level II special care nursery.
