Our client, a hospital in Southern Maine seeks an innovative and respected executive to lead their physician group practices.  This position reports directly to the Hospital President.

The Vice President is responsible for the effective business and administrative leadership of the physician group, working in partnership with leaders across the organization to develop and implement a vision and strategic plan resulting in positive financial results, increased market share, patient satisfaction, and high-quality outcomes.  This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced medical group practice administrator.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in establishing positive and effective relationships with physicians, senior management, and staff, positioning himself/herself as a trusted and competent leader.  Strong administrative and financial skills are required, as is the ability to thrive in a complex organization serving multiple constituencies.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also necessary.

A bachelor’s degree in business administration or healthcare management is needed, with at least five years of progressively responsible experience in physician practice management.  Board certification by the American College of Medical Practice Executives is preferred.

The Organization:

The organization is a multispecialty physician’s group practice owned by the Hospital and dedicated to assuring that healthcare services are available to the people of its region.  The group practice has a total of 140 employees, including 39 physicians and mid-levels.
